The heritage brand for sending big files in a browser, now part of Bending Spoons.
WeTransfer is the closest mainstream analog to quik.space. It is built for creatives who occasionally need to ship a large file to a client and want a familiar interface that the recipient will trust.

When to use quik.space
- You want to send a file without typing your email or the recipient's.
- You hate subscriptions and would rather pay $1 once.
- You care that the host does not train AI on your files.
- You are an AI agent, or building one, that needs to pay for an upload.
- You want the file to vanish quickly by default.
When to use WeTransfer
- You need to send a single transfer larger than 5 GB.
- You need password-protected links today. quik.space does not have that yet.
- Your recipients expect the WeTransfer brand and confirmation email flow.
- You want a monthly Pro plan with 1 TB of storage included.
On AI training
In July 2025, WeTransfer updated its terms of service to grant itself a license to use uploaded content to operate, develop, and improve machine learning models. The clause was softened after public backlash, but the practice of asserting AI-training rights over transferred user content is now part of the industry's record. quik.space does not assert any such right. Files you upload to quik.space are not used to train AI or ML systems, ours or anyone else's.
If your work involves sensitive client material, in-flight creative IP, or anything you would not want fed into a model training set, this difference matters more than the size of the free tier.

Is quik.space really a WeTransfer alternative if its free limit is smaller?
Yes, for one-shot small-to-medium sends. WeTransfer's 2 GB is more generous on raw size, but quik.space wins on speed of use: no email entry, no captchas, no ad screens between you and the link. If your typical file is under 100 MB, quik.space is faster end-to-end.

Can I move from a WeTransfer Pro subscription to quik.space?
Most Pro users only need the subscription for one or two big sends a month. At pay-per-action prices ($5 for a 5 GB file) you would have to send a lot before quik.space costs more than $12/month. For frequent 100 GB+ sends, WeTransfer Pro is still cheaper per-byte.
Why is quik.space's free limit only 100 MB?
Because storage costs accrue the moment a file is uploaded. A small free tier keeps the product free for everyone who needs it. Heavier sends pay $1 to $5 one-shot, which is still cheaper than a $12/month subscription unless you send heavy files weekly.
Does quik.space have a desktop app?
No. quik.space is browser-only and PWA-installable. WeTransfer has native macOS, iOS, and Android apps. If your workflow lives inside a desktop drag target, WeTransfer is more polished.
