How to send a Logic Pro project.
Logic Pro projects are bundles, not single files. macOS shows them as one item, but underneath it is a folder with audio, automation, and plug-in state. quik.space takes the zipped bundle byte-for-byte. The recipient unzips, double-clicks, and Logic loads the session intact.

What is a Logic Pro project?
Logic Pro project files use the .logicx extension with no single standard MIME type. The format sits in the audio category. Typical files run 50 MB - 5 GB (project bundle), which is well above what most email services will accept as an attachment.
Why you can’t email a Logic Pro project
A Logic Pro project is a macOS bundle (folder posing as a file). Email cannot handle the bundle structure, and the audio inside often runs several gigabytes.Slack, Discord, and most other workplace tools have similar caps, often around 1 GB for free tiers and with aggressive per-channel storage limits. Even when the file fits, it counts against the recipient’s mailbox quota forever.
How quik.space handles Logic Pro project
quik.space takes the zipped Logic project byte-for-byte. The recipient unpacks the zip, the bundle structure is restored, and Logic opens the project with all audio, plug-in settings, and automation intact. The share page renders an inline HTML5 audio player, so the recipient streams the file before downloading the original.
The file lives for 72 hours by default and then enters a 7-day grace period. We do not train AI on your files. We do not share them with third parties. After grace, the bytes are permanently purged from storage. Read the full policy on privacy.

Frequently asked
- Should I send the .logicx bundle directly?
- Zip it first. .logicx is a folder bundle on macOS. Without zipping, you'd lose the folder structure on Windows or non-Mac filesystems.
- Will plug-in presets survive?
- Stock Logic plug-ins survive. Third-party plug-in settings travel with the project but the recipient must have the same plug-ins installed.
- What about sample library references?
- Use File > Project Settings > Assets and check Copy Audio Files Into Project before sending, otherwise external samples will show as missing.
- Can the recipient open it on Windows?
- No. Logic Pro is macOS-only. Bounce stems or export OMF/AAF for cross-platform handoff.
