Send a 2 GB file.
2 GB is inside the XL upload tier on quik.space, covered by the same $5 one-shot that handles any file up to 5 GB. The drop zone takes the file, sends a share link, and clears the slate. No signup, no account, no monthly bill. The link defaults to 72 hours and can be extended for $2 per 30 days. Your file is private to the link holder, is not used as training data for any model, and is permanently purged when the clock runs out.

How to send a 2 GB file

- The drop zone detects 2 GB and surfaces a one-shot $5 payment for the matching SKU.
- Copy the share link when the upload finishes and send it to the recipient.

quik.space does not train AI on your files. We do not read them. We do not index them. The file is visible only to whoever holds the share link, and it auto-deletes when the clock runs out. WeTransfer changed its terms in July 2025 to allow AI training on user files. We made the opposite call and put it in writing.
Frequently asked
- How big is a 2 GB file in real terms?
- Roughly a full-length 1080p movie at typical streaming bitrate, or about 200 RAW photos from a 45-megapixel camera, or a code repository with several gigabytes of build artifacts included.
- What is the cheapest way to send a 2 GB file?
- On quik.space, $5 one-shot through the XL upload SKU. No monthly plan. If you would rather not pay anything, you can also split the file into smaller chunks with 7-Zip or tar and send each piece on the free tier, then have the recipient rejoin them. The $5 saves the splitting step.
- Is the upload progress bar accurate?
- Yes. The bar reflects bytes actually sent, not a generic animation. If you see it stall, your connection is the bottleneck, not the page.
- Can two people upload to the same link?
- No. Each upload creates its own share link. If multiple people need to contribute files to a shared bundle, create a 30-day space for $5 and share that space link instead.
- Does the recipient need to install anything?
- No. The share page works in any modern browser on any device. Common formats render an inline preview, everything else downloads as the original file.
