How to send a PPTX file.
PowerPoint decks grow because every screenshot and chart adds megabytes. By the time you have 60 slides, the file is unmailable. quik.space stores the PPTX byte-for-byte and gives the recipient a clean download link they can open in PowerPoint, Keynote, or LibreOffice.

What is a PowerPoint PPTX?
PowerPoint PPTX files use the .pptx extension and the application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.presentationml.presentation MIME type. The format sits in the document category. Typical files run 5 MB - 500 MB, which is well above what most email services will accept as an attachment.
Why you can’t email a PowerPoint PPTX
A 60-slide deck with photos, charts, and embedded video can hit 200 to 500 MB. Email caps at 25 MB on Gmail. SharePoint links sometimes break for external recipients.Slack, Discord, and most other workplace tools have similar caps, often around 1 GB for free tiers and with aggressive per-channel storage limits. Even when the file fits, it counts against the recipient’s mailbox quota forever.
How quik.space handles PowerPoint PPTX
quik.space stores the PPTX byte-for-byte. Slide masters, embedded media, transitions, speaker notes, all preserved. The recipient downloads and opens in PowerPoint, Keynote, or LibreOffice Impress. Where the format is browser-friendly (PDF, plain text, markdown), the share page renders an inline preview. Other documents download directly.
The file lives for 72 hours by default and then enters a 7-day grace period. We do not train AI on your files. We do not share them with third parties. After grace, the bytes are permanently purged from storage. Read the full policy on privacy.

Frequently asked
- Will embedded video survive the upload?
- Yes. Embedded media stays inside the PPTX container, byte-for-byte.
- Do transitions and animations work after the download?
- Yes. The PPTX is unchanged. The recipient sees the same animation sequence.
- What about speaker notes?
- Preserved. The recipient can open Presenter View and read the notes.
- Will linked Excel charts update?
- Embedded data stays. Linked external files do not travel with the PPTX; embed the data at export to avoid surprises.
